16/10/2024Congratulations to Westgate Galactico’s who managed to win the BLA SSCO Girls Football league last night. They were part of a 10 team league which consisted of teams from; St Peters, Torrisholme, West End, Mossgate, BLS and Lancaster Road. The atmosphere was fantastic, with over 100 girls taking part. Everyone played with a smile on their faces and tried their absolute best, with everyone getting better as the event went on.
Well done to Lancaster Road and Torrisholme for managing second and third winning Silver and Bronze medals. Special mention for the Lancaster Road player who scooped up the BLA SSCO STAR Award for some amazing sportsmanship – catching the ball in open play, stopping the match because a member of the opposition was hurt. We are very thankful to Bay Leadership Academy for hosting the event and providing some amazing Sports Leaders who refereed the matches.
