SSN Lancashire Small Schools Football Competition- 26^th September

Dear PE Co-ordinator

We would like to invite your school to enter the Lancaster & Heysham Small Schools County Qualifying Football Tournament. This event is scheduled at LM College’s 3G astro pitch, on Thursday 26^th September. The first games will kick off 12.30pm and will finish approx. 2.30pm, dependant on entries. Please arrive from 12.00 so we can brief everyone and start on time. Hopefully holding it early will mean better weather but please bring appropriate clothing/umbrellas for between games if there is any bad weather.

This tournament will act as a feeder for a Lancashire County Finals, meaning the top Heysham area school and top Lancaster area school compete at the Lancashire County Finals, scheduled for 23^rd January 2025 at Fleetwood Town’s impressive training complex, Poolefoot Farm.

Competition details are as follows:

Strictly for schools who have up to 100 pupils enrolled in all KS2 this year. Schools can only qualify from the ‘small’ OR ‘large’ schools events- not both.
No spectators during College open times
Teams of 7, squads of upto 10 (Year 4/5/6 boys &/or girls, no minimum ratios).
Date: Thursday 26^th September
Venue: LM College 3G Astro pitch
Parking/drop off/collection at LMC is always at the rear of College from Torrisholme Road.
Arrival from 12.00 with first match kicking off at 12.30pm
Finish time will depend on the number of entries but will be 2.30pm. Exact timings and format will be sent out to the competing schools soon after the deadline date.
1 Team permitted per school, you may request a second, but they’ll only be allowed if there is space & will be first come-first served. When enrolling add your second team then I will confirm if you have it on deadline entry day.
Top Heysham area school and top Lancaster area school compete at the Lancashire Finals.
Schools should bring their own 1^st Aid kits
PLEASE MAKE SURE PARTICIPANTS WEAR SHIN PADS & RUBBER STUDS/ASTRO TRAINERS. This is the teacher’s responsibility to check. No metal or plastic studs.

The deadline entry date for this tournament is Wednesday 18^th September. Enter via the website – www.lhssn.co.uk – Any problems just let us know.
